“But” God Raised Him From The Dead

“But” is such a wonderful word in the context of our Bible Reading. Man did his best to fight against God – even to kill Him – but God was greater than man’s sin and rebellion, and Jesus rose from the grave, winning over sin and death.

“But” also means that you can have everything against you, the worst diagnosis, people who want to destroy you and your future, but you have the Risen Jesus.  When Paul wanted to comfort, he preached the Risen Jesus! When he brought the Gospel, he preached the Risen Jesus. The Risen Jesus is our “but” in everything we will face or are facing. And this is how we should bring the Gospel. We should comfort people, bring them hope, and our message is the resurrection of Jesus.
