Wisdom and foolishness is portrayed in the book of Proverbs as young women, Proverbs 9. Wisdom is a responsible woman of character, while Folly is portrayed as a prostitute serving stolen food. Wisdom appeals to the heart and Folly to the senses and pleasures of everyday life. It is easier to excite the senses, but the pleasures of Folly are temporary.  Wisdom is eternal. Folly is only a tent, temporally. What is wisdom? Wisdom comes from the Lord and to live in His fear. Wisdom is also a path you walk on; it is a way of pleasantness and a course of peace. Wisdom is also the tree of life and those who lay hold of her; those who hold her fast are called blessed.
