What should I expect on a Sunday?
[Please see bottom of our HOME page for latest details of how Covid 19 restrictions are impacting our services and activities]
We would love to welcome you when we gather at Blaxland Christian Reformed Church! Whether you’re new to church, have grown up in a church elsewhere or whether you are still thinking things through and just want to check us out, we’d love for you to join us on a Sunday as we find out more about God and the great things he’s done through Jesus.
We are a community of people who come from all walks of life and cultures, young and old, who gather together to worship and praise God. Expect to hear teaching that is bible based, gospel centred and is applicable to today. We have music, singing, prayers, a reading from the Bible and a sermon.
At a typical gathering we acknowledge God and our continual need of Him through both conversation and the lyrics of songs we sing (feel free to just listen and observe if you want), we’ll read parts of the bible and then the pastor will preach a sermon explaining what God is teaching us from this passage. During the morning service, children enjoy participating in the Kid’s Program, offered for 3-8 year old’s. Following the service we catch up and chat over morning tea.
