In light of all that God has mercifully done for them in Christ, Paul calls the Roman Christians to present themselves for active, humble service in the church, thereby utilising the gifts graciously given to them by the Lord for the benefit of others.

Being a servant of Christ means serving others

Serving others:

- is a significant part of a life that is true.

- is an important part of yielding glad-hearted allegiance to Christ.

- is an essential part of striving to please the Lord.

- is a major part of the pathway of blessing in this life
