Proverbs 6:16–19 is a guide for us to those things that our Lord finds detestable. One such thing is a false witness who breathes out lies. We should always speak the Truth in love! To tell the Truth indicates a change of heart. And our hearts can only be changed by the Holy Spirit who makes the word Truth in our lives. The Holy Spirit makes our salvation in Jesus Christ, The Only Truth, our own so that our deceitful tongues are no longer the slave of our sinful nature. We are redeemed in Christ Jesus. And in gratitude, we must obey Him as the Truth!
