The congregation of Corinth, although they were not perfect and there were many problems in the congregation, were still God’s congregation, they shared in Jesus’ redemption on the cross, and they were the church of God, sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints together with all those who in every place call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both the Lord and ours (Verse 2).
