Luke 7:36-50 tells about a dinner interruption by a sinner expressing her gratitude for God’s forgiveness. This passage illustrates Jesus’ willingness to openly associate with sinners and His authority to forgive sin. The compassion and love of our Lord in which He seeks the lost in our passage is in the foreground. The Pharisees asked: “Who is this, who even forgives sin? This man is our Redeemer and Lord, Jesus Christ.
