The Euphrates was always a sign in the Old Testament of God’s protection of His people. Behind the Euphrates was Israel’s enemies, Asyria and Babylon. And every time the Lord allowed these enemies to pass the Euphrates because of Israel’s sin, exile of His people followed. But on a certain day the Euphrates will dry up! This will be to prepare a way for the Kings of the East to gather for the last war against the Lamb that will return.
