In the parable Jesus made clear who the neighbour of the victim was. The Priest and then the Levite, both passed by on the other side. But then came the Samaritan, and he used his own wine and oil, treated his wounds brought him on his donkey to an inn and paid all expenses and even offers to stop by on his return in case he hasn’t paid enough.
