God’s people needed to be reminded that Judgement day is coming. God still has eternity to right all wrongs and reward all goodness. God promised a fire for His people (Malachi 3:2-3), and in Malachi 4, He promised a fire for the wicked. But there is a big difference between the refining fire applied to God’s people and the burning fire against the ungodly. The wicked will not be able to stand against God’s judgment. But those who fear His Name will be saved. The Sun of Righteousness shall arise. This is our Lord Jesus Christ.
