Revelation 20 is a glorious chapter and has a comforting meaning for God’s church on earth. This is also a chapter where there are different interpretations. Some hold this chapter as a thousand years where there will be no sin and injustice but complete peace. This will be in the future according to this view. Others believe that the thousand years started with the ascension of Jesus, where the Father rules all things through Him. With the return of Christ, all will come to an end. Everything will finally fall into place. Satan and his followers will be destroyed. Christ will come to our rescue in this world. Then all the struggle, sorrow, persecution, war, and violence will be over. And then death will be destroyed entirely. The new heaven and the new earth will come in which we will dwell in righteousness in all eternity.
