Paul summarized in our passage what a Christian’s life should look like. It’s about Christ and His love, and in this love, we should act. This is the love that 1 Corinthians 13 described. Paul said in verse 2 of our passage: “And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.” The Greek word used for love is Agape, and this is the biblical word for love. This love is also known as Christian love or self-sacrificing love. This love can change everything. We will never perish if we live in Jesus’ love because such love will never fail!
