What is courage? Courage is the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, and pain despite fear. Encourage means to give courage, hope, or confidence; to give support, hope, or help. As Christians, we are of good courage. Why? In times of death and suffering there is only one thing that keeps us secure from despair and that is faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Through faith, we share in His redemption, and we are willing to please Him and endure everything. Like Paul, we are longing to be clothed with our heavenly inheritance, but we know that the Spirit is our guarantee of what awaits. He comforts and strengthens us every day. He comforts and He assures us that we live because Jesus lives! And He will wipe our tears away.
