For a lot of people, the election of believers is a problem. This is something unfair.  This is something scary! The election of believers, the doctrine of predestination, OR God being unfair, is not the reason why people are lost. People are lost because they refuse to put their trust in Jesus as their only Saviour! The election of believers is not unfair, but it gives the reason why all people are not being lost. Was it not for God’s grace in Jesus, no one would be saved! But God in His wisdom predetermined that certain individuals would be conformed to the likeness of His Son, be called, justified, and glorified (Ephesians 1:5). This is predestination. The important thing to remember is that no one deserves to be saved. We have all sinned Romans 3:23 and are all worthy of eternal punishment Romans 6:23. As a result, God would be perfectly just in allowing all of us to spend eternity in hell.  The initiative came from God, and we were the receivers of His love in a true faith. God loved me in Jesus, me, who were dead in my sin, out of grace alone!
